FLOWERS
What flowers will we be using?
The picture references illustrate the type of work we will do, and the technique/ mechanic that we will cover, but the use of flowers and colour will differ. We work with reliable, perennial favourites, as well as interesting season flowers.
Are we doing exactly the same arrangement as the pictures?

Can I choose the flowers and quantity that I want to use during the course?
No, the ingredients (flowers, foliage, branches, any other material) will follow our recipe.
Can I bring my flowers home?
Yes, you may bring your individually completed work such as bouquets and arrangements with julep and glass vases. Larger installations such as arches can be broken down split among the participants to take home the used flowers and foliage. Please prepare your own packing carries or boxes. Kindly note that some preserved material, vessels and structures are part of our inventory and not for participants to take home.
COURSE AND INSTRUCTION
What is included in the course fee?
The course fee includes
- a pair of cutters, which you may bring home
- fresh materials/ ingredients in a designated quantity to create your completed piece, which you may bring home
- recipe sheets for all items you create
- accessories and vases such as wrappers, glass vase, julep vase to create your completed pieces, which you may bring home
- loan and temporary use within the venue, of
- some preserved material, vessels and structures from our inventory
- tools and accessories necessary to complete your work
- certificate of completion.
Please note that all prices are before the prevailing GST, as per our terms and conditions.
How do you teach each technique?
We begin each workshop with an introduction to the materials and tools, a summary of the preparation, followed by demonstration of the technique.
During the hands-on segment by the participants, instructors give individual guidance and critique, before rounding up the session with best-practices and/ or care tips.
Can I take photos or videos during the course?
You may take photos of your own work, but voice or video recording is not allowed.
What is the teacher to student ratio?
Because of safe-distancing measures, we will work in small teacher to student ratio of 1:3. We take a minimum of three students and maximum of five students to ensure we have sufficient room for all. (Prior to the pandemic, we used to take a minimum of eight and maximum of twelve students, with a teacher to student ratio of 1:6.)
How many students do you take for each course?

What if the minimum student count is not met?
If the minimum student count is not met, we will propose a postponed date, or provide a full refund on your booking.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes, you will get a digital certificate of completion via email. If you wish to get a printed and laminated copy, please notify us on the first day of your course.
Where is the course held?
The course is held at Floral Magic, 334 King George’s Avenue, Singapore 208571. We are on the ground floor of King George’s Building, located in the middle of the stretch of shopfronts.

What are your measures for holding a course during this pandemic?
Prior to entry, all participants and instructors are required to
- be wearing their masks
- have their temperature taken with a reading below 37.5°C
- check in via TraceTogether mobile app
- sanitize hands
During the course, participants
- must wear their masks at all times
- will be assigned to work in groups of two and avoid intermingling
- will be assigned to a designated area to work within
- will be provided a new pair of cutters, and a new cleaning cloth so that they can clean up and turnover their designated area for each new segment of the course
Floral Magic will maintain safe hygiene practices such as
- taking frequent hand-washing breaks
- sanitizing of frequently touched surfaces and shared tools if need be
- cleaning the general area as frequently needed
- disposing of trash promptly
Please ensure that you do not attend the course if you or any of your household members are
- issued with Quarantine Order
- issued with Stay-Home Notice (SHN)
- placed on Leave of Absence (LOA) or phone surveillance
- required to undergo a mandatory COVID-19 swab test
- issued a “Health Risk Warning” or “Health Risk Alert” notification from the Ministry of Health
- are unwell with flu-like symptoms such as cough, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath
CANCELLATION/ POSTPONEMENT POLICY
What if I am unwell with flu-like symptoms, or am placed on quarantine/ SHN/ LOA/ swab test, or receive a health risk warning/ alert from the Ministry of Health, and unable to attend the course?
Please send us your medical certificate or official proof of quarantine/ SHN/ LOA/ swab test/ notification to everday@floralmagic.com.sg.
You may choose either of the options below, only if you can substantiate your absence with the document(s) listed above:
- Transfer of booking to another name, if you can find someone willing and able to take your place. Should we have a waitlist, we will check if the next person is willing and able to take your booking.
- For written notice given 7-14 days before course commencement, refund of 70% of course fee
- For written notice given 0-6 days before course commencement, refund of 35% of course fee.
Can I cancel or postpone my booking?
No refunds or credit will be made for cancellations or no-shows. Please ensure that your calendar is clear before you commit to a booking with full payment.
If you are unable to attend, we strongly encourage finding someone to take your place, as your booking is transferable to another name.
Please do not make a booking with full payment unless you are agreeable to our no-cancellation, no-refund policy.

If I can’t attend, can you find someone else to take the course?
Your booking is transferable to another name, and you should find someone to take your place. Should we have a waitlist, we will check if the next person is willing and able to take your booking. Otherwise, your payment is considered to have been forfeited.
Please do not make a booking with full payment unless you are agreeable to our no-cancellation, no-refund policy.
